Get the News You Need — Now on the Homepage!

Get ready for an update we’re really excited about — and one we know you’ll be excited about too: your own personalized SideReel homepage. We’ve been working to make SideReel a better experience for you, so here’s what you need to know:

When you’re logged in and you load up SideReel, you’ll still be able to see all the cool features we have in our slideshow, but if you scroll down a bit further, you’ll notice…Screen Shot 2016-02-11 at 11.53.37 AM

This is all based on what’s on your Tracker. Pretty cool, right? Scroll down a little bit further and instead of the Staff Activity Feed, you’ll get yours:Activity FeedSidebar

(We’re staff, which is why this Activity Feed looks like the Staff Feed, but you get the idea.)

Next, scroll back up and take a look at the righthand side of your page. Here you’ll find news relevant to what you’re tracking, as well as our guide to the Most Important Shows on TV This Week, and some ideas for shows you might want to review.

Looking for the Top 10 Shows on the site? That’s now on the TV Shows page. In fact, that’s where you’ll find a bunch of the stuff you used to find on the homepage, including the mini Calendar, a non-personalized list of recently aired episodes, and a non-personalized list of upcoming premieres and finales.

We encourage you to play around with the site and then leave us a note and let us know what you like a lot and what you might like a little less. We can’t wait to hear from you!

I’m so happy I found Sidereel, it has made tracking shows and being up to date with the shows I follow and even new releases so much easier, but… I don’t like this new personalized homepage. :(
I think the personalized info would be a great addition to our personal tracker page, but not the homepage. Now if i want to see more general updates I have to logout first. I know sometimes we don’t like changes and then just get used to them, but hmm I don’t think this change makes for a better experience. Sorry guys. Still love Sidereel! But please change this back…

I don’t know what the deal is with his redesign but my profile and tracker buttons no longer appear at the top of the screen when I first open the homescreen. I have to scroll all the way down to the bottom where it describes the personal tracker and click on that link. This is not intuitive at all.
